Taylor Lord
Step into the vibrant world of Canadian artist Linda Diane Taylor and her partner, Kenny Lord! Linda has been creating art since 1985.
In 2023, life took an unexpected turn for Kenny when a car hit him during a bike ride. While broken bones healed, concussion syndrome persisted. Undeterred, he embarked on a painting journey, drawing inspiration from Linda's designs. Completely self-taught, he developed his unique style.
Linda's artistic journey began in the early '80s, when she painted Christmas scenes on the windows at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. Encouraged by Head Nurse Sadie Harper, Linda pursued formal education at the Fraser Valley Academy of Art in 1985, learning the techniques of the old masters under the guidance of Atelier Sandor Meszaros.
In 1989, Linda delved into the therapeutic realms of art, studying Art Therapy at the Vancouver Counseling and Hypnotherapy Institute. She applied her knowledge to facilitate programs for Drug and Alcohol Day Treatment and National Native Drug and Alcohol Treatment. As the manager of the Youth Treatment Center, she taught drum making and art therapy, rooted in the wisdom passed down by Native American Dene and Metis Elders.
In the 1990's Linda adorned the homes of the 'Street of Dreams' in Coquitlam, BC, with indoor wall and ceiling mural paintings. A dedicated volunteer, she has donated much of her art to Lions International, Rotary International, Youth Sport Groups, and animal welfare fundraising campaigns.
In 2010, Linda played a crucial role in creating an art space at the Lions Club Hostel in Birch Bay, directing artists to complete murals in hostel rooms. Original Art filled the halls and lobby. It was a popular stop on the local Art Walks!
Experience Linda and Kenny's artistic odyssey, a celebration of creativity, inspiration, and the continuous evolution of gifted Canadian artists. Join them on this exciting voyage through their vibrant world! #CanadianArtists #ArtisticJourney #CreativityUnleashed
